FALL....

Fall...i know i'm rushing it just alittle but fall is my absolute favorite time of the year! There are so many things that come to my mind just thinking about fall, the mornings & evenings have cooled down some & it feels wonderful to sit beside a campfire & roast marshmellows & drink hot chocolate...

Dawson is thinking he's alittle too close & it's alittle too hot=)

Aalyvia picked me a few flowers & before she got them to me a little yellow butterfly landed on them...

the kids just got home from school & wanted their after-school snack(munching on homemade granola bars)...ahhh yes & with fall comes canning,i'm always excited to get started & love doing it(towards the end of the season it becomes a bit of a drag)but i love the fact that my pantry is filled to MAX CAPACITY with great food that i can pull off the shelves & literally have a meal ready & on the table for my family in 10min.!So far i've canned sweet garlic dill pickles(not pictured)...

SALSA

PASTA SAUCE

CHUNKY TACO SOUP....& still ALOT more to do...

today i got my fall decor out,i don't have much but it still gives our home the fall vibe=)

i got these 2 primative pumkins brand new @ a garage sale this yearfor 2.00 each(love!)

i also start burning my candles more, with the evenings getting darker, earlier again i love sitting w/ a good book, have the candles burning while snuggled under a blanket(that is after the kids are in bed for the night).

i rearranged my living room furniture today too,i like when the love seats are closer & it gives it a cozier feel to the room.

my boys snuggled up in their blankets=)
now i need to go snuggle under my warm blanket w/ a book & hot choc., my windows are open & the cool eve. breeze is blowing through the house,my candles are burning,my house smells yummy,(the kids are in bed!).All thats left to say is good night & good-bye for now...

Back to school...

It's the 1st day back to school & I had 2 very excited children hop out of bed this morning...ate their breakfast in record time, dressed, hair combed & ready to head out the door & there is still 45min before their bus arrives to pick them up! Hmmm...how to keep 2 children busy for 45 min so they aren't asking "is it time yet" every minute for the next 45min? so we head outside to sit on the front porch swing...

to snap som photos:)

Aalyvia wanted rainbow finger/toenails for the 1st day of school...

then this is where they start getting cold & are asking for sweatshirts,so i go to open the door & realize we are locked out of the house...AGAIN...this happened last yr. on their 1st day of school too:( & all the other doors were locked so i prayed/begged God to somhow open this door for us then gave River to Dawson to hold & i started wiggling on the latch & pushing on the door @ the same time & lo & behold it opens!...thank-you Jesus! This was truly a miracle because our latch is broke on the outside & once that door is latched it is impossible to open it from the outside, unless of course God works a miracle:) fixing that latch was not on my priority list of things to get done, that has changed after this morning!

& now we are nice & warm...it looks like i told them to stand like that both posing the same way:)...(i didn't)

(& again)...before they get on the bus each morning we say a little prayer asking for God's protection over them that day & that God would open their minds to learning, that it could come easy for them & their hearts to making good friends & that they would have the ability to stand up for what they believe in...

watching for the bus to come up the road...

"HERE IT COMES"they both yell as they turn to give me a hug & run for the end of the lane...& for the 1st time in 3yrs i wasn't in tears as i turned to walk back up the lane,i think the 1st yr. for each child is the hardest for me & this yr we didn't have a "1st".....now what to do with the rest of my day??????

After River woke up from his nap we headed to town,i had some books to return & more to pick up at the library, then to my local save n serve to see if i could find that old picture frame i've been wanting, to turn it  into a large framed chalkboard...(i found one!)...then to wal-mart to pick up some groceries...now i have 2 little guys sleeping soundly for their afternoon naps & i really need to get some work done!...bye for now.
